2011 is the 150th anniversary of the naming of the Maynooth Post Office. Originally called Doyle's Corners, it applied for the names Tara and Oxenden before Maynooth was accepted. Celebrations all year will culminate Saturday, October 1st (the actual anniversary day).

Labour Day Weekend, 2011 - 'The 22nd Annual Maynooth Madness Weekend', featuring the Hastings Highlands Loggers Games, the Mud Dawgs Mud Run and the Maynooth Fall Fair.
The 7th annual Maynooth Mud Run takes place Sunday, September 2011 starting at noon, rain or shine, at the Loggers Games Field, Hwy.62N
Autumn Studio Tours ,September 24 & 25, October 1 & 2 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Visit four Maynooth area artists in their studios as part of the Bancroft & Area annual Fall Studio Tours. Stained glass artist Margo Merritt, Painter Ketha Newman, watercolourist Nancy Brookes and leather goods by Phil & Bonnie Hobbs are part of this year's offerings.

October 1st, 10:30 a.m., The Rocky Hills Horse Club presents the Outriders Musical Ride preformance as well as an Equitation Show and Gaming Event complete with ribbons and cash prizes.
